Freelance / Interim IFS Finance Consultant (m/f/d)

We are looking for an experienced IFS Finance Consultant in Linköping, Sweden to support a client. In this role, you will work closely with finance and accounting stakeholders to optimize financial processes, provide hands-on support, and drive ongoing improvements in the IFS environment. The assignment includes process analysis, system enhancements, and collaboration across finance, controlling, and IT teams. Fluent Swedish is mandatory, with on-site presence required 1-2 times per week.
Your profile as Freelance / Interim IFS Finance Consultant (m/f/d)
Your Responsibilities:
- Provide functional consulting, design, and implementation support within IFS Finance
- Analyze, design, and optimize finance and accounting processes in the IFS environment
- Support Finance and Accounting departments in system usage, process definition, and best practices
- Ensure accurate setup and processing of financial data, postings, period closings, and reporting in IFS
- Support system optimizations, enhancements, and long-term project activities
- Work closely with Finance, Controlling, IT, and other internal stakeholders
- Conduct workshops, requirements analysis, testing activities, and go-live / hypercare support
- Analyze and resolve functional finance-related issues within IFS
- Create functional concepts, process documentation, and user documentationYour Profile:
- Several years of experience as an IFS Finance Consultant or in a comparable ERP finance role
- Strong hands-on knowledge of IFS Finance / Accounting modules
- Experience advising finance stakeholders (general ledger, accounting, financial reporting)
- Fluent Swedish language skills (mandatory)
- Structured, analytical, and independent working style
- Strong communication skills and ability to bridge business and ITNice to Have / Advantageous:
- Experience in long-term ERP programs or transformation projects
- Knowledge of adjacent IFS modules (e.g. Controlling, Projects, Supply Chain)
- Experience in international project environmentsProject Details:
