Your profile as Freelance Change Manager

About the Client

An innovative client based in Brussels is preparing to roll out a major software implementation across its operations. To ensure smooth adoption and minimize disruption on the work floor, they are seeking a hands-on, experienced Freelance Change Manager to lead the change management efforts from planning to post-go-live support.

Role Overview

The Change Manager will work closely with the project team, key stakeholders, and frontline managers to ensure the new system is embraced by the workforce. Your main objective is to ensure that the change "lands" successfully, meaning employees understand, accept, and adopt the new ways of working resulting from the software implementation.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop and execute a practical change management plan aligned with the software implementation timeline.
* Engage with stakeholders across departments to assess readiness, identify risks, and build buy-in.
* Translate technical project goals into clear, relatable messages for employees.
* Coordinate and support internal communications, training, and user engagement activities.
* Work closely with team leaders and supervisors to equip them to guide their teams through the transition.
* Monitor adoption, resistance, and feedback at the work floor level, adjusting tactics accordingly.
* Act as the main liaison between the project team and employees to address change-related concerns.

Candidate Profile

* Minimum 5 years' experience in organizational change management, ideally involving software or system implementations.
* Familiarity with change management methodologies (e.g., ADKAR, PROSCI, Kotter).
* Experience working alongside IT project teams and business process owners.
* Outstanding communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Fluency in English is required + Dutch and/or French.
* Based in or able to travel regularly to Brussels for on-site engagement.
